Will the seal hold on corrugated roads?
Yes. The bags use a one-way valve that locks the air out and keeps it out, so sealed food stays flat and protected while it's stacked, packed and shaken around for a week. One tip that saves people a re-seal: press the zip fully closed along its whole length before you put the nozzle on. That single step is behind almost every "it didn't hold" message we get.
Is a cordless sealer actually powerful enough — and do I need power at camp?
It pulls 3 L/min and takes up to 99% of the air out — plenty for meat, veg, bread, cheese, coffee and fillets. It won't replace a chamber sealer in a butcher's shop, and it isn't meant to. It's built to do the job properly in a van, a camp kitchen or the back of a ute. No mains power needed. It's USB rechargeable and gets up to 100 seals per charge — top it up from the car, a power bank or your solar setup. No 240V, no generator, no powered site required.
How long does each seal take?
About 25 seconds once you've got the hang of it. Two things make it quick: squeeze most of the air out by hand first, and use a bag that suits the size of the food. A chicken breast in an XL bag makes the machine do unnecessary work. Your first seal or two will be slower — by the third one it's habit.
How much esky space will I actually save?
Sealing flattens bulky food by up to 70%. Ditch the foam trays and cling wrap at home, portion it into meals, and everything stacks flat in order. Most campers find they fit a longer trip's worth of food in the same esky — with room left for ice and beers.
Can I seal fresh fish and marinated meat?
Yes — this is what a lot of our customers bought it for. Pat fish and meat dry with paper towel before sealing so there's no liquid sitting up near the valve, and it seals cleanly. Marinades work brilliantly: seal the steaks in the morning and the vacuum drives the marinade in while you drive. Straight liquids like soup or stock should be frozen solid first, then sealed.
Are the bags really reusable?
Yes. They're BPA-free, see-through and freezer safe — wash them in warm soapy water, dry them properly and use them again. No rolls to buy and nothing to run out of a long way from a shop.
